Scott Kessel’s Shipwreck Playground

Connecticut artist, Scott Kessel, comissioned myself and Joe Hanlon, as well as our students at Bristol Technical Education Center to bring his shipwreck design to life. Scott approached us with blueprints and templates to build this pirate ship playground for a Rails-to-Trails in Newberryport, Massachusetts. We were ecstatic to build this large-scale ship as a public arts project and a great learning experience for our students.
